How it started: our founder and his own hero
Spoken Arabic, one voice note at a time
The moment
He wanted to speak everyday Arabic with neighbours and colleagues, not read textbook grammar. Classes were at fixed hours, and apps taught the formal language nobody uses at the market.
You send your hero
“Teach me spoken Arabic, the way people really talk here. Short lessons, ten minutes a day.”
Your hero
His hero learned the local dialect, built a course of short voice lessons with the Arabic spoken clearly and every phrase explained in his own language, then ran the lessons every morning, repeated the phrases he got wrong and quizzed him on Fridays.
The result
A daily lesson that fits between meetings, a tutor who never runs out of patience, and real conversations within weeks.
- HeroKit: 1:42Voice note, 1:42. “Today's lesson: ordering coffee. Listen, then repeat each phrase back to me as a voice note.”
- You: 0:09Voice note, 0:09. “Wahad ahwe, law samaht”
- HeroKit: Very good. One fix: stress the first syllable, AH-we. Try once more, then we move on to asking for the bill.
- Repeat the phrase
